On the moonlit night full of courageous feats,
Children in costumes and their bags of treats,
Knocks at your door seeking out their eats,
While goosebumps and frights will haunt our sleep.

Lore and the legends of times in despair,
With witches and broomsticks soar through the air,
Glace once more under your bed so no one is there,
As we take extra care to say those nightly prayers.

Zombies unleashed while monsters run rampant and free,
Vampires and ghouls stalk us on their devilish spree,
You close your eyes while you silently make your plea,
Begging your creator they don't come for thee.

Sorry about that. I take it, since it is nearly Halloween you'd like a Halloween story? Yes?
I can't help you.
You begging me now? Why? Why are my stories so special?
Off course, because I'm such an awesome story teller. I'm not and you know it. I'm an amateur writer, who tries her best.
But since you even try to win me over by compliments...I think I could give it a try.

Oh, my love; lonely is the grave.

Keep the gift that the water gave:

Silver pearls, buried once in sand;

Thread them now on a golden strand.

Once I laughed, and again you sang;

Sunlight danced, and all the shadows rang.

Now the moon shines icy on your face,

Withered flowers, torn and tattered lace.

Tall oaks grow where you laid my grave,

Alas, this friendship cannot last.
His control cannot endure.
You accept your death with open arms,
Entranced by his allure.

That dreadful night time hunger.
That wretched, lustful thirst.
The insatiable desires
Of the one forever cursed.

Ashamed of his regrettable acts,
Brus MonstersThings in the dark
Can give you a fright,
That you wouldn't even think about
When it is light.
They hide in the shadows
And wait for you there,
Ready to jump out
And give you a scare.

Witches on broomsticks
And ghosts in the gloom,
The bogeyman hiding
In the closet of doom.

Then Count Dracula
Will invite you inside
His castle, as a meal
For his vampire bride.

The monsters that chase you
All through the night
And laugh, when you cry,
To their evil delight.

Do not be scared!
Not all is as it seems,
Those witches and vampires
Were just in your dreams.
There's nothing in the closet
Or under the bed.
